Being a REALTOR® is more than attaining a real estate license and helping clients buy and sell real estate.
Working for America's property owners, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® provides extensive opportunities for professional development, research, and exchange of information among its members. The term REALTOR is trademarked by the National Association of REALTORS®, which is America’s largest trade association.
Members belong to one or more of 1,200 local associations/boards and can join one of NAR’s many institutes, societies, and councils. Additionally, NAR offers members the opportunity to be active in their appraisal and international real estate specialty sections. REALTORS® pledge themselves to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
